Ellsworth Courtney West, Jr., 56, of Woburn, formerly of Winchester, entered in to rest, suddenly, on October 24, 2007. Born, raised and educated in Winchester, he was the son of the late Helen S. (Ward) and Ellsworth C. West, Sr. Upon graduation from Winchester High School he attended Boston State College where he received a B.S. in Business Administration and an Associates in Sociology. Mr. West’s career includes senior-level managerial positions in the electronics industry, most recently as a Purchasing Manager with FinePitch in Wilmington, MA. He was a member of several professional organizations, including APICS, APS, NAPM and the AMA. In his spare time, he enjoyed socializing as a member of the Sons of Italy in Revere and the VFW of Woburn. Ellsworth was the beloved husband of 23 years to Yvonne (Scott), and the devoted father to Robert and Nicole Connors, and Dayshon West, all of Woburn and the Grampie to Jayden Connors of Woburn. He is also survived by his 6 brothers and five sisters: Marsha E. of Malden, Lance E. of Stoneham, Craig L. of Woburn, Wayne B. of Marlboro, Joyce M. of Haverhill, Bruce C. of Nashua, NH, Daryl S. of Winchester, Gail of Woburn, Terri L. of Billerica, Lois J. of San Antonio, TX and Aaron W. of Derry, NH. Courtney also leaves behind several nieces, nephews and many friends. His Funeral Service will be held in the Second Congregational Church, 485 Washington St., Winchester on Tuesday, October 30 at 11:30 AM. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held in the Costello Funeral Home, 177 Washington St. Winchester on Monday from 4-9PM. Burial will take place in Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
