Kristina Soucek (Seifert)

Kristina Marie Seifert born January 1, 1952, in Philadelphia, PA to heros of World War II, Victor and Grace Soucek. They settled in Winchester, MA.  Graduated Salem State College with B.A. Education.  Moved to Colorado then California working for First American Title.  Met and married husband Mel in 1978 and worked as legal secretary until starting family.  Girl Scout leader, active volunteer for schools in the community, worked out of the home transcribing depositions for 14 years until taking job as Administrator for Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchrer of Jerusalem.  Founding members of Santa Clara de Asis Catholic Church served on several committees and Retired in 2007 when moved to CT.  Served on local committee, elected to Inland Wetlands Commission and oversaw Annual Townwide Tag Sale every year.  Returned to CA in 2017.  Was very creative. Loved to crochet baby blankets and give them away.  Started painting during Covid and developed a love of all types of art.  Loved to travel.  Loved her girls and grandchildren with all her heart. She passed peacefully in the loving arms of her husband and daughters May 18, 2024. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Mel, daughters Jacqueline and Hillary, and four grandchildren, Bailey, Branden, Tanner and 5 month old Taylan.

And she was our glue.  I hope if and when we gather for a 55th reunion, we can take time to honor Kris and all she did for us over the years.  Please let me know if volunteers are needed to help with a reunion.

Oh dear, this is so sad.  Kris was the engine that kept this site going.  She even reached out to find grads who could help other grads in times of need.  I am sorry very sorry to hear this.  Special thoughts to her husband and family.

Kris was nice to me when I moved to Winchester and started at McCall's in the 7th grade. She helped me adjust to being in a new town and school just by just saying hi in the hallways or before the classes that we were in together.

It seems that she left this world peacefully in the company of family.  Kris touched many people with who she was. She will be remembered by all of us that knew her. We should all be thankful for the lives we've lead and the people around us that are close to to us.
